In 2012, the Consorzio Franciacorta started an important partnership with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, thus choosing Italian fashion as a sister industry with which it shares the distinctiveness of Made in Italy products around the world, craftsmanship, elegance and quality.
Thanks to this agreement, Franciacorta has been the official toasting wine at the Milan Fashion week (men’s and women’s) for the fifth year in a row.
A solid alliance was formed between the Consorzio Franciacorta and Slow Food, which has been going on for years with the intent of promoting and supporting the high-quality agricultural products that best express the typicality of individual places.
Slow Food is a large not-for-profit international association committed to associating once again a fair value to food, respecting the people who produce it - in harmony with the environment and with individual ecosystems - and the precious knowledge preserved in small communities rooted in local traditions. Every day, Slow Food operates in 150 countries to promote good, clean and fair food for all.
Since 2015, the year of the Milan Expo, Franciacorta has partnered with the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium to cooperate in events in Italy and abroad, with the goal of jointly promoting two top-notch Italian products which stand for the traditional values of their local area and production.
PDO Parmigiano Reggiano is one of the world’s most ancient and richest products. Still today it is made in the provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna (left bank of the Reno river only) and Mantua (right bank of the Po river only), just like nine centuries ago, using the same ingredients – exclusively raw milk, salt and rennet, with no additives or preservatives whatsoever.
The Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano, founded in 1934, gathers together all the 339 genuine Parmesan dairies. Always committed to safeguarding and enhancing the very high quality of its unique and valuable product, the Consortium plays a primary role in associating Parmigiano Reggiano with great Italian wines, thus promoting awareness and enjoyment of the King of Cheeses.
ACQUA PANNA AND S.PELLEGRINO Acqua Panna and S.Pellegrino are two time-honored brands, long known and appreciated the world over. The secret of their success is their extraordinary complementarity: S.Pellegrino, whose sources are in San Pellegrino Terme, the Val Brembana (near Bergamo), is characterized by an unmistakable perlage and is ideal to exalt the aromas and flavors of well-structured and complex dishes and wines. Acqua Panna, which springs from protected sources located near Scarperia (Florence) is a still mineral water with a smooth, well-balanced and refreshing taste, very enjoyable and a perfect match for light dishes with a delicate gustatory and olfactory profile, or young, fruity wines. Acqua Panna and S.Pellegrino were the first mineral waters to have been extensively studied from the perspective of food pairings, wine and the most popular beverages. The research on mineral waters was entrusted to the greatest international sommellerie experts, because choosing the right water is as important as picking the most suitable wine. All-time partners of international restaurants, Acqua Panna and S.Pellegrino have succeeded in defining their role as ambassadors of the fine-dining culture in the over 100 countries where the two brands are distributed and appreciated.
CALVISIUS In 2015, Calvisuis and Franciacorta first entered into a partnership at the Franciacorta Wine Bar at the Milan Expo. The prestigious brand by Agro Ittica Lombarda, an Italian-based global leader in caviar production and distribution, is an ideal partner for a wine like Franciacorta. With its collection of special, elegant caviars, made from pure sturgeon breeds, rather than hybrids, Calvisius Caviar is an Italian flagship domestically and internationally
