SUSTAINABLE VITICULTURE IN FRANCIACORTA: CO2 EMISSIONS REDUCED BY 3,000 TONNES

Erbusco was the venue this morning for a conference dedicated to the presentation of the results of a project totally unique in Italy, one aimed at reducing emissions of greenhouse gasses by means of the country’s first territory-wide monitoring programme, carried out in Franciacorta.

Participating at the speakers’ table was the study group (SATA agronomic agency and D.I.S.A.A. - Università di Milano) that designed the Ita.Ca® (Italian wine carbon calculator) emissions calculation model, and researchers Andrea Pitacco of the Università degli Studio of Padua and Angelo Cichelli of the Università d’Annunzio Chieti-Pescara; the panel was moderated by an outstanding figure, geologist and first CRN researcher, Mario Tozzi.
