Quality and intuition, tradition, passion and entrepreneurial spirit, are some of the features which distinguish the Mirabel-la farm of Rodengo Saiano.
Born quietly in 1979, now Mirabella farm is about to become and to strengthen like one of the most prestigious and important reality of the field. A group of eight entrepreneurs and professional men of Brescia, fond of viticulture and enology, owners of vineyards located in the central-east zone of Franciacorta founded it. They thought «to join their forces» in order to manage better to use the potentiality of the production and commercialisation of their own wines. Among the first members there are Teresio Schiavi and Giacomo Cavalli, the latter was the owner of some hectares of vineyard and of the ex-spinning mill of Paderno, closed at that time, which was the first cave of the farm. The founder soul remains, however, Teresio Schiavi. It is himself, together with his son Alessandro, with the other partners Francesco Bracchi, administrative director and Ezio Comai sales manager to be at the head of the cave which is now of considerable proportions but thought at first like a small cooperative of vineyards.
In 1980, in the original seat of Paderno Franciacorta, the farm makes a great effort to improve the viticultural patrimony of the company. New equipment was installed identifying the most suitable areas of the company where producing wines of high superior quality.
Old vineyards were explanted and were used new agronomic techniques of management in order to reach the better quality as possible. In 1985 the present seat of Rodengo Saiano was bought. It had got an underground cave with a real ideal temperature for wines conservation.
In 1995 they decided to start the first important restructuring on the building with the restoration of the working room and acquiring new tanks and machineries. In 2000 the partners decided to enlarge also the warehouse, with the result, in such a way, of a company with a global covered surface of 2200 mq.
Now, with a productive reality of 450.000 bottles each year the farm cultivates, with its own labour and its own equipment, more then 50 hectares of vineyards, 40 among them inserted on the register of D.O.C.G. of Franciacorta and 10 on the register of D.O.C. wines «Terre of Franciacorta». It could testify the high quality of production made by Mirabella.
In 2004 new 15 hectares of vineyards were planted out the start of a new project aimed at accommodating future tirage bottlings. Afterwards, this is a farm which is always directed to the forefront and improvement. It is ready to strengthen definitively on the market, thanks to a different production which is able to satisfy the most sophisticated requirements of customers, originating a perfect unit of tastes and fragrances, tradition and innovation, past, present and future.
